Settlement prices
As part of the system service of balance maintenance, TenneT settles:
- the regulating and reserve capacity offered and deployedthe imbalance of programme-responsible
parties;
- the settlement occurs on the basis of prices determined by TenneT.

Explanation
The publication of settlement prices is in accordance with our core values of quality
and integrity.
The determination of settlement prices for bids of regulating and reserve capacity
utilised has been laid down in the Implementation Regulations.
The System Code contains stipulations about the determination of the imbalance price.
The determination of the incentive component of
the imbalance price has been laid down in the report on the imbalance pricing system; its publication is stipulated in the System Code
The data relate to the following columns for each date and per PTU (prices in EUR/MWh,
in two decimal places):
- Upward Incident Reserve, if stated, is an indicator for the use of upward incident reserve; this affects the determination of the imbalance price;
- Downward Incident Reserve, if stated, is an indicator for the use of downward incident reserve; this affects the determination of the imbalance price;
- Upward adjustment, if
stated, refers to the settlement price of bids used on the upward adjustment side:
TenneT pays this price to the supplier;
- Downward adjustment, if stated, refers
to the settlement price of bids used on the downward adjustment side: the supplier
pays this price to TenneT TSO (in the event of a negative price, TenneT pays the
supplier);
- The incentive component is always stated, and is always ≥ 0 EUR/MWh;
- Output is always stated and refers to the settlement price of the imbalance of the
PRPs with deficits: the PRP pays this price to TenneT TSO (if negative, TenneT pays
the PRP);
- Input is always stated and refers to the settlement price of the imbalance
of the PRPs with surpluses: TenneT pays this price to the PRP (if negative, the
PRP pays TenneT);
- The regulating state is always stated and its value is -1,
0, 1 of 2. The regulating state affects the determination of the imbalance price.
