Total ladder size
For each date and each Programme Time Unit (PTU), the graph and the table entitled ‘Total ladder size’ show all bids of regulating and reserve capacity offered to TenneT, arranged according to their dispatch times.
Bids with a dispatch time exceeding 15 minutes are mainly used by TenneT to resolve transmission problems. At the same time these bids give a minimum indication of the available reserves.
Total ladder size explanation
The volumes offered are expressed in MW and classified in the following categories:
Downward adjustment:
- > 60 mins: dispatch time of over 1 hour
- 16-60 mins: dispatch time of between 15 minutes and 1 hour
- 0-15 mins: dispatch time of up to 15 minutes, including bids of regulating capacity
Upward adjustment:
- 0-15 mins: dispatch time of up to 15 minutes, including bids of regulating capacity
- 16-60 mins: dispatch time of between 15 minutes and 1 hour
- 61-240 mins: dispatch time of between 1 and 4 hours
- 241-480 mins: dispatch time of between 4 and 8 hours
- > 480 mins: dispatch time of over 8 hours
