Intraday
Below you will find the information in relation to the intraday cross border capacity
allocation on the border between TenneT TSO B.V. and TenneT TSO GmbH. The information
is available per date and per direction, on the sheet explanation you will find
detailed descriptions on the figures shown. In case you select the sheet "Export
data" the download centre of this website will be shown, where you can download
all kinds of data, also data of intra day cross border, to your local computer in
a predefined format.
The data shown is from different points in time. The ATC is based on matched data
between the TSOs as known at the latest gate closure for capacity request and the
Requested, Obtained and Nominated Capacity from the moment of publication. The moment
of publication is shown on the page.
From the 9th of December 2008 up until the 27th of October 2009, the Intraday data
is published based on the TSO-TSO principle.
Explanation IntraDay
On the tabsheet "Table" you will find the data described below. The data is presented
per PTU (Program Time Unit), in the columns going from the left to the right you
will find:
- ATC, is the Available Transfer Capacity, in this column the capacity
available for the intraday cross border allocation is presented. The ATC is based
on matched data between the TSOs. Because "netting" is applied it is possible that
the ATC exceeds the NTC.
- Requested capacity, in this column
the capacity requested by market parties is presented
- Obtained capacity,
in this column the capacity allocated to market parties is presented
-
Nominated capacity, in this column the capacity actually nominated by market
parties is presented, this value can not exceed the value in the column obtained
capacity
- NTC, this is the Net Transfer Capacity
The data presented on the pages related to intraday cross border capacity allocation
is from different points in time. The ATC is based on matched data between the TSOs
as known at the latest gate closure for capacity request and the Requested, Obtained
and Nominated Capacity from the moment of publication. On the pages the moment of
publication is shown to avoid misunderstandings about the validity of the data.
A zero (0) on this webpage in the columns Requested, Obtained and Nominated Capacity
can also mean that no allocations or nominations concerning Intraday Capacity have
taken place. Normally an empty space should be published but for the time being
it will be a zero. For real time ATC you have to visit the website of the intraday
Capacity Allocation Platform (https://www.intraday-capacity.com/portal/).
Data for import and export is presented in separate tables below each other.
On the border between Germany and the Netherlands the "first come first serve" method
is used, this means that the participant being first to ask for capacity is first
to be served. On this border the so-called "continuous trading" system is applied
which means that capacity can be allocated till 70 minutes before the start of the
delivery hour, so there will be 24 gates per day. The allocation is performed on
the systems of Deutsche Börse System (DBS). TenneT is the joint allocation operator
of the intraday capacity allocation for this border.
In all cases the capacity is allocated to the market free of charge.
On the Dutch/German border a nomination obligation applies. If a party does not
nominate, the contract value will be settled in unbalance. In case this happens,
the values in the columns "obtained capacity" and "nominated capacity" will be different
where this can not be the case in normal conditions.
