Vision 2030

08-07-2008 In its ‘Vision2030’ document, TenneT provides an analysis of long-term developments affecting the Dutch electricity supply. With this long-term vision of the grid’s infrastructure, TenneT also wishes to facilitate the transition to a sustainable energy supply system desired by society at large.
Developing and constructing high-voltage connections over longer distances often takes eight years or more, due to lengthy procedures and the careful planning these require. Wind turbine parks and large power plants can be built in a much shorter period of time. This is why a timely analysis of possible future developments and any associated problems is essential.
