System services tariff
The system services tariff is charged to all consumers who consume electricity and are connected to the national high-voltage grid, or to a grid that is directly or indirectly connected to the national high-voltage grid.
All grid administrators and large industrial consumers with a direct connection to the Dutch high‑voltage grid pay this tariff to TenneT for each kilowatt‑hour (kWh) of electricity they have consumed. In turn, regional grid administrators collect this same tariff from the consumers connected to their grids.
Costs
The system services tariff covers the costs incurred by TenneT in the performance of system services, such as:
- regulating and reserve capacity;
- black‑start facilities;
- monitoring and maintaining the structural integrity and reliability of the 380 kV, 220 kV, 150 kV and 110 kV grids;
- other tasks and activities for system management purposes;
- TenneT's internal operational expenses.
Tariff descisions
The system services tariff is listed on the Tariff decisions published by the Office of Energy Regulation.
