EDINE test facility
The Office of Energy Regulation, has made the testing of EDINE messages compulsory. Market parties have indicated that they wish to practice with the EDINE message system and test it before implementation. Every new or changed EDINE message is first tested.
Every market party that wants to use a new or changed EDINE message must first acquire a certificate for that message through testing. A certificate remains valid for a year, after which time the market party must obtain a new certificate. The certification process is carried out by TenneT, which owns and manages the Central P.O. Box System (CPS). A large share of the EDINE message traffic runs via this system.
EDINE Knowledge Centre
TenneT has set up the EDINE Knowledge Centre (EKC). The EKC makes the EDINE test facility available to market parties that wish to test their EDINE implementation. In this test environment they can simulate the exchange of messages with other market parties. The EKC plays the role of the other market party in the testing process.
