Situation Northern Netherlands

Various generators have submitted an application or expressed an interest with TenneT, Essent Netwerk and Continuon in a connection to the electricity grid in Northern Netherlands (Overijssel (NW-Overijssel), Flevoland (noordoostpolder) Groningen, Friesland en Drenthe boven de lijn Zwolle-Ens). Under the existing legislation, TenneT and therefore also Continuon and Essent Netwerk have no further transmission capacity available for existing and potential generators on the electricity grid in Northern Netherlands.
