How does TenneTs connection policy operate?
TenneT are responsible for the management of the national transmission network in the Netherlands. A connection is defined in the legislation as “one or more junctions between a property and the grid, or two or more junctions between grids of different voltages”.
A connection consists of a transformer and a field. With the majority of our connections, the voltage of the connected user is lower. We provide connections to the transmission grid, arrange for maintenance and rectify any faults which may occur. The Office of Energy Regulation set down the conditions under which we implement the connections to the high-voltage grid.
TenneT has published a connection procedure. This document describes the procedure used by TenneT to handle requests for connections to its high-voltage grid. You may download the document attached below. This document is only in Dutch available.
