Quality and Capacity Plan 2010-2016

Cover KCD_deel I_UK_101020 01-11-2010 The number of plans for the construction of new power stations in both the Netherlands and neighbouring European countries is continuing to increase. If these developments persist, they will lead to a dramatic increase in the level of competition on the European electricity market. Because of this, the Dutch high-voltage grid – which is currently being substantially expanded – will also take on an increasingly international role over the coming years. For the consumer, this means that the security of electricity supplies will remain consistently high and prices will continue to be stable. This is apparent from the latest Quality and Capacity Plan, a publication issued by TenneT once every two years which looks ahead towards developments in the electricity market. The relevant PDF documents can be downloaded on the TenneT website. The information will also be made available in the form of a dynamic website.
