01-05-2009 TenneT sets to work carefully when installing new high-voltage connections or substations. We cause the least possible inconvenience and provide ample compensation when damage occurs.Before installing new connections we carry out an extensive study into the effects on the living environment of people, animals and plants. We bring in specialists like landscape architects, ecologists and local organisations. We do not choose the best approach until the study has been completed and after consulting with provincial authorities, municipal authorities, water boards and environmental departments. The design we ultimately select seeks a balance between attractive integration into the landscape, sufficient safety and technical possibilities.
