03-11-2002 Electricity disclosure and labelling enables the clear-cut identification of the generation method and environmental quality for each kilowatt hour’s worth of power, as befitting a transparent market offering consumers freedom of choice. It is important the European market will use one type of system. Politics will decide to what extent The Netherlands will be ahead of events.

The position paper describes the constructional aspects of electricity disclosure and labelling. It would be usefull to elaborate on a good working and reliable system of greencertificates.
