Randstad380

09-06-2006 The Randstad380 project involves an extension to the national high-voltage grid at the Maasvlakte industrial zone. We will be installing new high-voltage lines and cables from Bleiswijk to Beverwijk. With this project, TenneT is making a considerable investment over the coming years in expanding the transmission capacity of the electricity grid in the Randstad region. This is necessary because of the increasing demand for electricity in this area. TenneT has published two brochures about Randstad380.

In the brochure 'Randstad380: link to the future' you can read all about the project's benefits and the need for expanding the high-voltage grid in the Randstad region. The brochure also contains an estimated time schedule for the project, which is expected to take some 10 years to complete.
