NorNed

16-03-2010 Transmission System Operators Statnett (Norway) and TenneT have installed the worlds longest submarine high voltage cable (580 kilometres) between Norway and the Netherlands. The NorNed cable interconnects the Dutch and Norwegian electricity grids and energy exchanges. Via the cable, Statnett and TenneT can transit electricity from the Netherlands to Norway and vice versa.
