Overview of technical data for 2007
In 2006 TenneT was responsible for:
- 2,031 kilometres of 380 kV high-voltage lines and cables
- 653 kilometres of 220 kV high-voltage lines and cables
532 kilometres of 150 kV high-voltage lines and cables
- 20 substations for 380 kV electricity transmission
12 substations for 220 kV electricity transmission
19 substations for 150 kV electricity transmission- 23,139 gigawatt-hours of imported energy
- 5,565 gigawatt-hours of exported energy
Peak load in 2007
When people all over the Netherlands turn up their heating and switch on all the lights, a large amount of electricity is consumed. This so‑called 'peak load moment' usually occurs in December. Peaks in electricity consumption can also be observed during important sports events, for instance at half‑time during football matches. In 2007 the peak load moment occurred on:
