Organisation
Our organisation wants to serve as a linking pin, one that connects producers and consumers with each other and engages in a permanent dialogue with the community at large. TenneT is an innovative company. We are able to do all of this thanks to our size, our expertise and also our ambitions.
We perform the following activities:
- consist of transporting electricity and
- monitoring the supply and demand balance.
- maintaining and developing the high voltage network.
- embedding renewable energy (for example from North Sea wind farms or via cables from water basins in Norway) has high priority.
Movie 'Between push and pull'
This video production, which has a length of just over seven minutes, provides you with an insight into the dynamic process of demand ('pull') and supply ('push') that takes place within the Dutch electricity supply infrastructure. As you will see, the role of a National Grid Administrator is of crucial importance in this context, ensuring that the balance and reliability of the system are safe-guarded. In the Netherlands, TenneT has been charges with these duties.
