Mr C. Griffioen

Mr Cees Griffioen (1941), Deputy Chairman of TenneT’s Supervisory Board and Chairman of the Audit Committee, was appointed on 15 June 2000. His second term of office ends on 15 June 2008.

Career

Mr Griffioen, a chartered accountant with a degree in business economics from Erasmus University in Rotterdam, joined PTT in 1988, having previously been employed by Nederlandse Accountants Maatschap in Rotterdam from 1962 to 1966, by De Bruyn & Hollemans Accountants in Gouda from 1966 to 1971, by N.V. AMEV as Head of the Organisation & Efficiency Sector from 1971 to 1977, and by AGFRA‑HOLDING B.V. as Director of Financial and Economic Affairs from 1977 to 1980. He furthermore held the position of Director of Financial and Economic Affairs at Ultra‑Centrifuge Nederland N.V. (from 1980 to 1988) and was a member of the Board of Directors of Urenco Ltd. and the Advisory Council of Centec GmbH. 

In 1989, Mr Griffioen was appointed to the Board of Management of Royal PTT Netherlands N.V., now Royal KPN N.V. He has also had seats on the Board of Management of ICC Netherlands, the Executive Committee and Board of Management of VNO‑NCW (Confederation of Netherlands Industries and Employers), the Advisory Council of NOREA (Netherlands Institute of Certified EDP Auditors), the Supervisory and Advisory Council of the Holland International Distribution Council and the Board of the Berenschot Administration Foundation. Finally, Mr Griffioen has held the position of financial adviser to Bruscom B.V. and to Imtech Telecom B.V. and has been a member of the Board of the Twente University Fund Foundation, of the Supervisory Council of Het Friese Land Home Care Foundation, of the Advisory Council to the Executive Board of Twente University and of the Supervisory Council of NHL University in Leeuwarden.
