TenneT is looking for 200 new colleagues
11-02-2010
This year TenneT is looking to employ 200 new members of staff in conjunction with the large number of projects and activities the electricity transmission operator is undertaking over the coming years. Over the past two years, TenneT has already led a successful job market campaign, resulting in approx. 400 new employees being taken on. In almost three years TenneT has doubled in size. At the moment TenneT has around 1,000 staff members in its employ. TenneT is renewing its recruitment campaign in its search for new colleagues and, among other means, is also looking to bolster its workforce via technical institutes.
Recruitment campaign
TenneT began an extensive recruitment campaign two years ago under the motto ‘Your Energy Is TenneT’s Strength’ in a search for graduate engineers with intermediate/higher vocational and university qualifications, ICT specialists and support staff. This year TenneT has numerous vacancies in the same fields. At the moment there are around 70 open vacancies on the special recruitment website: www.werkenbijtennet.nl. This website received the best online job application experience award in 2008.
Company profile
Partly thanks to the job market campaign, the company profile within all four of TenneT's various target groups for recruitment has risen substantially in 2009 when compared to the previous year. In 2009 the Intelligence Group studied that TenneT’s company profile rose from 29 to 48 percent in its most important target group for recruitment (graduate engineers with higher vocational and university qualifications). This is the percentage recognising TenneT ‘by name’ at the minimum through to ‘well’.
Numerous new projects
TenneT needs to enlarge its workforce for the increased number of domestic and foreign infrastructural projects being undertaken by the company now and in the near future. The growing role of TenneT in the transmission grid and the increasing internationalisation of the market also ensure an additional need for qualified staff members. TenneT needs new, talented and ambitious staff so that the company can continue to conduct its activities according to high quality standards. Successful candidates will be employed at offices in Arnhem and Ede and in TenneT’s regional offices in Hoogeveen, Waddinxveen and Weert.
