TenneT to conduct field study near Delft for new 150kV high-voltage connection
19-08-2010
Electricity transmission operator TenneT is commissioning a field study to be conducted south of Delft. The study is required by law because it is believed that the area is likely to contain remains of archaeological interest. The study is expected to start on August 16, and will take two weeks to complete.
Archaeologists will use the objects found in this test trench to map any archaeological remains present in the area. TenneT has commissioned the archaeological department of Delft Regional Heritage to carry out the study.
