Electricity consumption back on last years level

20-08-2010 The electricity consumption levels in the Netherlands measured by TenneT rose again last month. This is apparent from the latest figures compiled by the Dutch electricity transmission operator. Figures from July show a further increase in consumption. As such, consumption is close to the levels recorded the previous year. The percentage level now trails by just 0,23%. This difference was 7% at the end of last year.

Around the twentieth of each month, TenneT publishes up-to-date figures on the consumption, production, import and export of electricity on its website. By making this data available to the public, the Dutch electricity transmission operator aims to create more transparency regarding developments in the electricity market.

Figures (in Gwh):

  • Consumption: 102309

  • Import: 15358

  • Export: 13315

  • Total: 100266

  • Difference with last year: 0,23%
