Planet
The Planet element is important because we realise that our operations can sometimes have undesirable social consequences. We limit these wherever possible. For example, we make efforts to chart our CO2 footprint so we can reduce it, to prevent emissions into the air wherever possible, to protect the soil and to compensate for any negative effects on the landscape. We also try to reduce our grid losses to a minimum. Innovation plays an important part in this regard. In 2009, TenneT set up a dedicated innovation team called TennovuM.
