Corporate Social Responsibility

TenneT actively fulfils its social responsibility. This is clear from our main goal: supplying electricity in an efficient, sustainable and reliable manner. Our objectives in the field of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) are often linked to our daily operations, like our efforts to reduce grid losses and ‘green’ them through Guarantees of Origin. The use of below-ground high-voltage cables in the Randstad 380 kV project and the development of the innovative Wintrack pylon are other good examples of the connection between CSR and our key tasks.

It is TenneT’s ambition to acquire a prominent position among the other TSOs in Western Europe when it comes to CSR. TenneT wants to make an important contribution in improving the sustainability of the energy supply, for example by realizing an offshore electricity grid. At the same time we are also aware of the CSR aspects of our daily operations.

At TenneT, too, Corporate Social Responsibility can be subdivided into three elements:

• People 
• Planet 
• Profit
