TenneT strives to purchase its products and services in a transparent and responsible manner. This allows us to improve our supplier selection and contracting processes and save costs.

Role of Procurement Department

Every department at TenneT is responsible for purchasing the products and services it needs. This means that as a TenneT supplier, you will usually deal directly with the department to which you deliver products and/or services. You will only deal with the Procurement Department if more than one department makes use of the product and/or service you supply.

TenneT’s Procurement Department directs and coordinates the overall purchasing process and supports the various departments in professionalising and organising their own purchasing processes. The Procurement Department does this by providing advice, assessing the purchasing process and carrying it out (in whole or in part). Suppliers who meet TenneT’s requirements are included in our vendor base, usually following an EU tendering procedure.
