Frequently Asked Questions - Tenders
An overview of frequently asked questions about our tenders.
If the estimated cost of a product, service or project exceeds a certain threshold amount, TenneT must publish a European call for tenders. The threshold amounts and guidelines for European calls for tenders are set out in the Tendering Procedures (Special Sectors) Decree (Dutch acronym: BASS). For more information about European tendering procedures you can visit the website of the Dutch Ministry of Economic Affairs.
Suppliers must meet certain minimum requirements with regard to quality and finances. These requirements depend on the service, product or project that the tendering procedure relates to and can be found in the relevant selection document.
Every department at TenneT is responsible for purchasing the products and services it needs. As a supplier you will therefore deal directly with the department concerned. If you do not know which department to contact, you can call the TenneT Service Centre at +31 (0)26 373 17 17.
Sponsoring requests and requests for placement of goodwill advertisements by TenneT can be submitted to the Service Centre (see 'In general'). Ultimately, the Corporate Affairs/Communication department will determine whether the objectives of the initiative correspond with the applicable criteria and are in keeping with TenneT’s own objectives.
