Phases of the TenneXT process

To ensure an optimum transfer, close collaboration between TenneT and the regional energy companies is essential, not only for the continuity of the power supply but also for the motivation of the employees and for the preservation of knowledge and experience for the entire industry. In early 2007, TenneT started talks with each of the four grid companies (Eneco Netwerkbeheer, Continuon Netbeheer, Delta Netwerkbedrijf and Essent Netwerk) to fill in the details of the transfer of the administrative role. The transfer will occur very carefully and in stages. There will be some sort of transitional phase first. Initially, TenneT will gain control over the various regional transmission grids. Later on, they will be combined into a single, integrated company.
