New date completion NorNed cable

28-03-2008 Following updated planning the NorNed cable between Norway and the Netherlands may become available to the market in May. Start of low power testing is aimed for in April. The delay is caused by severe weather conditions in the North Sea over the last months.

The completion of the repair works and the NorNed-project is fully dependent on the weather situation and successful testing of the cable. Unfortunately, Statnett and TenneT do not control these factors. Therefore exact dates for testing and completion of the cable is not possible to set.

To give as much insight in to the progress as possible, Statnett and TenneT will continue to provide updates at our web-sites until the NorNed-connection is launched.
