Noordoostpolder area

TenneT is planning to install a new high-voltage substation and a new cable in the Noordoostpolder area, which is located in the central Netherlands. The procedure for this has started in the meantime. 

What does this work entail? 

TenneT is working on the expansion of the high-voltage grid in the Noordoostpolder area. The expansion consists of 3 parts:

• A new 110 kV high-voltage substation near Westermeerdijk
• A new underground 110 kV cable from Westermeerdijk to Ens via Emmeloord.
• Upgrading the high-voltage substation in Ens.
