Wateringen
Due to the increasing demand for electricity in the region, the increasing demand for transportation of electricity, the overloading of the existing 150 kV grid in the region and the reliable power supply, it is required to construct a new switch and transformer station at the Wateringse Veld location.
The Wateringen station will be built at the Laan van Wateringseveld near the connection to the N211.
Transport of transformers
In the third weekend of September, three transformers will be transported through Westland area to Wateringen. Please check megatransport.tennet.org for more information as route and figures.

In june 2008, the De Vijvers residents’ association, national grid operator TenneT and the municipality of The Hague have agreed several modifications to the original plan for the new high-voltage substation to be built near the Wateringse Veld residential district in The Hague. Full story.
During the construction process we will keep the immediate residents informed on the progress as much as possible.
