Simonshaven

In 2008, TenneT started the construction of the new switch and transformer station in the Bernisse municipality.  The switch and transformer station "Simonshaven" will be a junction in the existing 380 kV high-voltage line between the stations in Crayesteijn and the Maasvlakte. The objective of this station is to strengthen the connection or link between the national and regional grid by means of 380/150 kV transformers. Moreover, by means of station Simonshaven power stations in the Botlek area can be linked to the national high-voltage grid.

The new station will be built at Oud Hoenderhoeksedijk in Bernisse.
