Borssele

Since 2007 TenneT is working on the extension of the existing high-voltage station in Borssele. This new high-voltage station is among others required to process the ever increasing imports and exports from Belgium. Furthermore the station will ensure the connection of the new Sloe station of Delta Energy to the national high-voltage grid. 

In order to realise the extension, TenneT has acquired the site in 2003. The location is situated directly adjacent to and on the south of the 380kV station at the Wilhelminahof in Borssele. The works commenced in September 2007 and will last approximately a little over one year. The planning is to complete the station during 2008.
