30-day-ahead market
The table entitled ‘30-day-ahead market’ contains data regarding the 30-day-ahead market and provides an estimate of the minimum capacity available for spot transmission per hour and per direction for each foreign TSO. Each table covers the indicated 30-day period.
Explanation
Context
On its website, TenneT publishes an estimate of the minimum capacity available for spot transmission runs in the next 30 days. In publishing this information, TenneT is implementing section 5.6.8.2 of the Grid Code.
Explanation
The published data are expressed in kilowatts (kW) per hour, for each direction and for each foreign TSO. In the case of E.ON Netz, ELIA and RWE Transportnetz Strohm, the published data are calculated by reducing the aggregate capacity available during the period under review by the capacity reserved for NEA contracts (set at 0 MW as of 1 September 2005) and by the capacity sold at annual and monthly auctions.
If one of the latter capacity rights is not nominated, it too becomes available for spot transmission, as stipulated in section 5.6.11.4 of the Grid Code. In the case of Statnett, the published data match the total planned available capacity.
