TenneT is now offering RSS feeds

TenneT is now offering RSS feeds on the web pages in the ‘Operational Reports’ section of the TenneT website (http://www.tennet.org/english/operational_management/Operationalreports.aspx and http://www.tennet.org/english/operational_management/
system_data_preparation/market_coupling/operational_reports.aspx
).

RSS (Really Simple Syndication) is a convenient way of keeping abreast with new information that appears on the Internet. If you subscribe to the RSS feed for a particular web page, you will be notified every time this page is updated.

If you subscribe to an RSS feed for a particular web page, the RSS reader will automatically notify you of any updates to this page. This can be compared to the pop-up message that notifies you that you have received new e-mail.

You need an RSS reader (also known as a ‘feed reader’ or ‘aggregator’) to read and/or view RSS feeds. An RSS reader is a software program that enables you to read RSS feeds from your favourite websites on your computer screen. The reader shows you the title and date of the updates. If you click on a particular item, you will be referred to the web page it originated from, where you can read the text in full.

What is RSS and how does it work?

The abbreviation RSS stands for Really Simple Syndication, a so-called ‘web feed format’ that can be used to skim news headlines or updates on websites, whether they be text updates or audio or video feeds.

Where can I download an RSS reader?

Various RSS readers (programs to read and manage RSS feeds) are available on the Internet as freeware. Readers are available for all operating systems. A wide range of RSS readers can be downloaded from http://blogspace.com/rss/readers, for instance.

How do I subscribe to TenneT’s RSS feed for operational reports?

The RSS feeds can be found on the web pages http://www.tennet.org/english/operational_management/Operationalreports.aspx and http://www.tennet.org/english/operational_management/
system_data_preparation/market_coupling/operational_reports.aspx
. If you click on the [RSS] link, your browser will bring up a web page containing XML code. You can use the URL address of this web page to subscribe to the RSS feed in the RSS reader.

How do I unsubscribe from TenneT’s RSS feed for operational reports?

You can unsubscribe from the RSS feed by deleting the URL address of the relevant web page in the RSS reader. You will then no longer receive automatic notification of any updates to this web page.
