Volume of settled regulating, reserve and emergency capacity
For each date and each Programme Time Unit (PTU), the table entitled ‘Volume of settled regulating, reserve and emergency capacity’ shows the volumes that TenneT settles with suppliers of regulating, reserve and emergency capacity on the basis of the use by TenneT for the purpose of maintaining and restoring the balance.
Explanation
The settled volumes are expressed in kWh and are classified in the following categories:
Downward adjustment < 0, energy from TenneT to suppliers:
- downward adjustment reserve: based on the dispatch of reserve capacity bids
- downward adjustment capacity: based on the use of regulating capacity bids through load frequency control
Upward adjustment > 0, energy from suppliers to TenneT:
- upward adjustment capacity: based on the use of regulating capacity bids through load frequency control
- upward adjustment reserve: based on the dispatch of reserve capacity bids
- emergency capacity: based on the use of emergency capacity
Totals:
- volume: the absolute volume of energy settled by TenneT with suppliers
- balance: the balance of energy settled by TenneT with suppliers:
- balance > 0 net suppletion
- balance < 0 net absorption
