Volume of settled imbalance
For each week and each Programme Time Unit (PTU), the graph and table entitled
‘Volume of settled imbalance’ show the volumes settled by TenneT TSO with programme‑responsible
parties (PRPs).
- Due to an IT omission, for the weeks of 15 until 18 2022 the publication of the Volume of Settled Imbalance was based on provisional Imbalance data, while it should be the final Imbalance data. This has been corrected for the weeks which are final.
- Due to an incident new Imbalance data was published on October 26 for June 2, June 8 and August 30 2022.
Explanation
The settled volumes are expressed in kWh and are classified in the following categories:
According to direction:
- B < 0: energy from TenneT to PRPs with an energy deficit
- A >
0: energy from PRPs with an energy surplus to TenneT
Totals: - |A| + |B|, the absolute volume of the energy settled by TenneT with
the PRPs through the imbalance
- balance: the balance of the energy settled by
TenneT with suppliers:
- balance > 0 system surplus
- balance < 0 system deficit
Any wrongful addition of measurement values to incorrect PRPs by grid administrators
may affect the absolute imbalance volume, but not the net imbalance.
