Since April 2011 TenneT  appointed the Maasvlakte region as a congestion management area. The installed capacity on Maasvlakte exceeded te available transport capacity.  The new system of congestion management, which has been part of the Netcode since late 2011, gives parties new rules and obligations The meeting held on December 14th aimed to give parties more clarity of how to handle in congested areas.
